When we were thinking about things we'd like to do this summer, we decided that we would like to make Saturday a family day. The goal was to get all of our normal weekend chores (cleaning, groceries, bills, etc.) finished during the week, so that Saturday could be devoted to playing together as a family.
Well... the 1st week of summer we were all trying to catch our breath from the school year, and K and I actually ended up working in my classroom every day that week, so it didn't happen then. The 2nd week of summer was VBS at church, and we were wiped. out. Plus, the 3rd week of summer was our vacation, so we were busy cleaning/packing etc. So this week was really our 1st true week of summer it seems, and we spent that busily cleaning out/reorganizing (more on that in future posts- I promise!)
Anyway, this Saturday was the 1st Saturday that we've made good on our "Family Day" promise. We talking about going to the
zoo, but since it's 15 million degrees outside, we decided we better seek refuge indoors and we ended up at the
Louisville Science Center, and then to
Graeter's for ice cream. Will and I had been once to the Science Center, but K had never been and she had a BLAST!

Y'all- I feel like she's wearing the same outfit every time I post pictures on here. I promise she has more clothes! It just works out that way for some reason! Also, she's growing her bangs out (her choice) which makes me sad because I feel like she looks way too grown up. :(
What fun adventures has your family been on this summer? Any suggestions of where we should go next??
